Who I work with?
I’m a trainee integrative psychotherapist, currently in my third year of psychotherapy training. I work with adults who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves or unsure why they keep finding themselves in the same patterns.
You might be navigating anxiety, low mood, difficulties in relationships, changes in identity, self-esteem, burnout, life transitions or simply a sense that something isn't quite working but you're not sure why.
You don't need to arrive with everything figured out. Sometimes the starting point is simply wanting to understand yourself a little better.
Therapy isn't a passive process, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. We'll work together to understand what's happening for you, explore what you want to be different and consider what might help.
That may involve reflection and developing awareness, as well as trying new ways of responding or making changes in everyday life. The pace and direction of the work will be guided by what feels appropriate and useful to you.
If you're looking for therapy in Stockport, I offer a space to slow things down, explore what's happening for you and begin to understand some of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Therapy can be particularly useful if you are:
-
noticing recurring patterns in relationships
-
struggling to understand or regulate your emotions
-
feeling disconnected from your body or yourself
-
experiencing overwhelm or chronic stress
-
navigating a significant change or transition
-
finding that old ways of coping no longer work
-
wanting to understand how earlier experiences continue to influence you
